BitCraft Starts Pre-Alpha Testing With A Handful Of Players, More Invites To Come

BitCraft has officially begun pre-alpha testing, giving a small group of testers their first taste of the sandbox survival MMORPG. The playtest will last for several months with only a handful of players to start. Developer Clockwork Labs will be adding to the initial group of testers in waves, and will be sending out more invites accordingly.

“The goal of the Pre-Alpha is to gather unbiased first impression from players and will be conducted under NDA to ensure new waves of testers will unprejudiced,” said the team. “The purpose of the tests is to answer specific questions about game mechanics in a controlled environment. It’s expected that the game may change considerably during and after Pre-Alpha testing. After the end of Pre-Alpha testing, future tests are expected to be less restricted and allow players to share their experience with the broader community.”

BitCraft is an community sandbox MMORPG where players’ actions will directly and permanently affect the game’s procedurally-generated world. Gameplay revolves around player decisions, social interactions, and cooperation over combat. The game will feature crafting, farming, and city-building mechanics and will a wide range of playstyles and job specializations.

Clockwork Labs has yet to announce a release date for the game but pre-alpha s are still open on the Bitcraft official site for those interested in taking it for a test run.
