Camelot Unchained Spinoff Final Stand: Ragnarok Launches Into Early Access Again
Camelot Unchained, has launched into early access for the third time since its initial “first access” launch in December 2020. That was followed by an actual Steam Early Access in November 2021 to an embarrassingly poor turnout, with an all-time peak player count of just over 37 players.
Now, it’s back on Steam Early Access with an updated Steam Page and bolstered by a fresh injection of funding. Its shares the same game engine and assets as Camelot Unchained and the hope is that it will draw in more players into the world of the Kickstarted MMORPG as Unchained Entertainment (formerly City State Entertainment) works to bring it to the finish line by the end of 2025.
"Final Stand: Ragnarök pits you and up to seven players against the forces of Hel, teaming up in a Co-Op Hero Action-Slasher against wave after wave of thousands of the goddess of death’s devious minions, in large-scale, real-time battles powered by the proprietary and revolutionary Unchained Engine. As the game progresses through Early Access we will be gradually adding larger match sizes as the Unchained Engine can 1000s of players in a match at a constant high FPS and low latency.”
Final Stand: Ragnarok is currently on sale at $14.99 on Steam until March 22, a 25% discount over its original price of $19.99. Full release is expected in mid-2024.
