Dune Awakening Breaks Down Pre-Alpha Trailer In A New Video Series

In the Dune novels, Arrakis is an extremely inhospitable desert planet that the Empire probably wouldn’t have bothered to colonize if it weren’t filled with the most precious resource in the universe. The same is true for Dune Awakening’s virtual version of the Spice-filled planet.

On top of the list of things to do upon setting foot in the planet is to build a sturdy shelter. “Structures built on Arrakis must be built on solid rock or will eventually be destroyed by sandworms,” explained Funcom. Of course, you’ll also need resources, stillsuits, and vehicles that will allow you to quickly get around and maybe even escape a sandworm should you encounter one.
