Dune: Awakening Teases Solo And Group Gameplay And Multi-Seat Vehicles
Funcom is back with a new Dune: Awakening preview reel narrated by yet another member of the dev team. This time around, Chief Creative Officer Joel Bylos talks up solo and group gameplay in the open world survival MMO.
“When playing alone, you’ll be able to explore the world and find unique locations marked by the Fremen and left as a part of your journey through the world,” teases Bylos. “When you play together with friends, you can combine your abilities to make interesting actions. For example, if one of your friends is a Mentat, they can scout the enemy camp and reveal the location of enemies and let you know exactly where to work as a group and how to attack.”
Vehicles in the game, including the iconic ornithopter, also come with multiple seats that will allow you to quickly traverse the treacherous deserts of Arrakis whether you’re flying solo or with a group.
Unfortunately, there’s still no word on when the next closed beta begins, but the ongoing parade of preview reels should help hype you up until then.
