EverQuest Turns 21 This Month, Gives Away Free Level 85 Boosts & Announces 2 New Progression Servers
EverQuest is officially an adult and of legal drinking age as the classic fantasy MMORPG celebrates its 21st birthday this month. No, Daybreak Games, or rather Darkpaw Games, won’t be buying you drinks, but you do get a 50% XP boost until the end of the month. Two special player-designed anniversary quests have also been introduced and free level 85 boosts have been given out to all subscribers.
“It's hard for us to fathom that it's been 21 years since this grand adventure began. The myriad lands and challenges you’ve all completed have brought us an incredible sense of awe time and time again. We couldn't be happier to share another year with all of you and can't wait to see what the next year brings.”
The developers have also announced the names and general rulesets for two new progression servers. “Please put your hands, paws, and claws together for Aradune and Rizlona!” says Darkpaw. “Aradune is a new concept for our Truebox server rule set. It's going to have similarities to Mangler's rule set in of XP, era locking, and a lot more. Rizlona will also share the Mangler rule set and be our first boxing progression server in a long time.”
The dev team promises to reveal more information about the two new servers in the coming weeks. Drop by the EverQuest official site for more details.
