Guild Wars Classic Celebrates Its 15th Anniversary With A Special Anniversary Event Today And A Gift For GW2 Players
The original Guild Wars game will be celebrating its 15th anniversary in just a few days. To mark the occasion, ArenaNet will be holding a celebratory event at Embark Beach today. During the event, players will be able to grab a free Anniversary Set from the Ancient Anniversary Weaponsmith containing familiar-looking weapons with new attribute requirements.
Players will also be to claim the Proof of Triumph relic from the same NPC. “Carrying this relic will cause an extra enemy group and boss to appear in four late-game maps,” explains ArenaNet. “Fight your way to them, and be sure to bring a Signet of Capture along to acquire a new PvE-only elite skill for each profession!” The Proof of Triumph will work even after the event.
Outfits, storage, and upgrades from the Guild Wars store will also be on sale starting today. Guild Wars 2 players will also get a free Self-Style Hair Kit from the Gem Store until April 28th as part of the celebrations. Oh, and don’t miss, the special Anniversary Livestream on the Guild Wars 2 official Twitch channel at noon PDT on April 28th.
