Mad World Launches On Steam This Month Alongside A New Region And New Bosses

Mad World will finally be making its long-promised debut on Steam next month, nine months after it was supposed to launch on the platform. The 2D free-to-play MMORPG was originally planned for launch on Steam alongside its PC launch back in April, but its developer, Jandisoft, refused to acknowledge its the extended delay until earlier this week when the studio broke the news on Discord and the Mad World Steam page went live.

The game will be launching on the popular distribution platform on January 25 alongside an update that will open up a brand-new region and two new bosses. The developers also teased realm vs. realm content coming later this year in Version 2.22 and a new story dungeon further down the line in Version 2.8.

Players can also look forward to various quality-of-life updates over the course of the year, including new skills and soul stones, better loot drops, and improvements to the pet system. Jandisoft is also planning to open new servers for North America, Europe, and South Korea.

In the meantime, the studio has kicked off a pre-registration campaign for its impending Steam launch, with over $1,000 worth of in-game items up for grabs. The campaign will run until January 24. Details can be found on the Mad World official site.
