MultiVersus Edges Out Elden Rings As The Top-Selling Game For July

Despite being a free-to-play game, MultiVersus players apparently have no qualms about spending money on the game. Warner Bros.’ smash hit platform brawler topped the list of July’s top-earning games, edging out Elden Rings from the number one spot on the list.

According to market research company The NPD Group, the main revenue generator for the game is its Founder’s Packs which players can purchase to immediately gain access to more playable characters along with a ton of currency called Gleamium. You can purchase the standard pack on the platform of your choice at $39.99, the deluxe pack at $59.99, and the pack for $99.99.

For those who’d rather not throw cash at the game, you’ll still be able to beat iconic Warner Bros. character to a pulp using the current character rotation, unlock new characters, and earn rewards through the free battle track.

On the subject of characters, Arya Stark, Batman, Lebron James, and Steven Universe have been rotated in as the free playable characters until the end of the month. Morty Sanchez of Rick and Morty will also be making his debut tomorrow with Rick Sanchez following later in the season. DC’s Black Adam and Stripe from Gremlins will also be coming sometime in the future.
