Record Of Lodoss War Online Is Now Live

Earlier this week, Record of Lodoss War Online would be launching in English today. Well, the time has come and the game has launched.

For those that don't know, Record of Lodoss War Online is an old-school MMORPG based on Ryo Mizuno's popular series of novels. The game is intentionally old-school in nature and is intended to appeal to fans of the series that are now in their late 30s and early 40s. The game is Diablo-like in nature, utilizing a simpler hack-'n-slash combat system. At this time, there are four classes—two male, two female—and, much like the isometric hack-'n-slash MMORPGs of old, you cannot customize your character at all.

To celebrate the launch, L&K Logic Korea is running several events. A daily event is running from now until April 30th, awarding players with various items in exchange for logging in each day. A level up challenge event is running from now until May 4th, offering players items in exchange for reaching various level milestones. Additionally, from now until April 27th, players will receive additional experience when in a party. The additional experience scales based on the number of players in the party.
