Ring of Elysium is Shutting Down

The free to play battle royale Ring of Elysium is shutting down. In a terse official notice posted on Steam, it was announced that the game would be closed on December 1, 2023.

Ring of Elysium first launched in 2018 and offered a free to play experience inspired by PUBG: Battlegrounds. The game had several interesting mobility features including climbing gear, skiing, gliders, grappling hooks, and more.

With an all-time peak of over 60,000 players, Ring of Elysium enjoyed initial success but by early 2019 the player base began a steep decline. The game's cash shop has already been closed but existing players will be able to continue enjoying the game until the closure date.

1. Termination Schedule
We regret to inform you that Ring of Elysium will be terminated with effect from 1 December 2023, 0:00(PST) (“Termination Date”). You will still be able to enjoy the game and use any existing in-game items until the Termination Date. The timeline for terminating Ring of Elysium is set out below, please understand that the exact date and time of termination may differ slightly by region.
• 1 September 2023, 0:00(PST)
 payments for in-game purchases, virtual items, or any other related transactions will be disabled;
 s of Ring of Elysium will be disabled and it will no longer available on Steam;
• 1 December 2023, 0:00(PST)
 Ring of Elysium will be terminated and you will no longer be able to enjoy the game from this date.
