Sea Of Thieves Kicks Off Season 11 With Its New Quest Hub And Fast Travel Feature

Quest Table. It basically acts as a central quest hub on ships that lists all available quests and activities along with the option to instantly teleport the ship to their general locations.

“Rather than having to return to an Outpost to buy new Voyages from the Trading Companies, you’ll now be able to access all available Voyages and Tall Tales directly from your ship,” developer Rare explains.

As we previously reported, the new feature has caused quite a ruckus within the multiplayer pirate RPG’s community. Players are concerned that the addition of the Quest Table will not only spell the end of open-world sailing in the game but will also lead to an increase in ambushes given the newfound ability to fast travel to a given area and start blasting away at smaller ships. It doesn’t look like Rare is too concerned, however, as its now available for everyone to use.

Season 11 also introduced new raid voyages and additional reputation levels for trading companies alongside other reputation-specific changes including faction-specific treasure hunts and the reputation rewards for locating a treasure in addition to the points given for turning it in. The new-player experience has also been updated to offer a more streamlined onboarding experience.

“Onboarding has […] been expanded with new in-game tutorials featuring the Pirate Lord, removing some of the hurdles for newer players seeking to get to grips with life on the seas,” touts the devs.
