Shroud of the Avatar Launches Release 93 Update

Shroud of the Avatar, the indie fantasy MMORPG created by Richard Gariott and Portalarium, launched its latest update today titled Release 93.

Release 93 Introduces the following to the game:

• New Adventure Scene: Jotungrund (new Tier 14 adventure scene in Mistrendur which is only available to Episode 2 access holders)
• The Outlaws' Run (new Tier 8 adventure scene added as R93 content, which is also only available to Episode 2 access holders)
• 54 New Decorative Plants!
• 12 New Craftable Potions!
• 4 New Quests!
• 3 New Collectible Trophies!
• 2 New Artifacts!
• New Pet Character Sheet!
• Right-Click Gear Repair Option!
• New Storehouse Containers (Kingsport)!
• Revitalize a Withered Flesh Flayer Baby!
• Craftable Square and Rectangular Wall Boards!
• 3 New Craftable Tents!
• Salvage Improvements!
• 3 New Subscriber Rewards!
• 1 New Player Reward!
• MANY quality of life improvements and bug fixes!

While this is definitely a big update for Shroud of the Avatar, the game's playerbase has declined significantly over the years. The game is never quite dead though as it maintains a small yet loyal playerbase which averages 56 players online. Interestingly, one of the game's tags on Steam is 'Single player' even though its an MMORPG, but the tag likely just implies that the game can be enjoyed alone.
