The New Lord Of The Rings Online And Dungeons And Dragons Online Forums Goes Live On May 3

After more than 15 years, Standing Stone Games is finally replacing the antiquated forums for it’s long-running MMORPG’s. The studio says that its almost ready to open up the new and improved forums for both Lord of the Rings Online.

“This has been a long time coming and we can’t wait for you to check them out,” touts the studio. “We are replacing our old, very outdated forums with newer forums that will offer new features and a much improved experience for all s.”

Standing Stone is looking to make the switch to the modernized forums on May 3rd, assuming, of course, that everything goes according to plan. The forums will remain viewable but will be migrated to a new URL which means that all links to the old posts will no longer work including those embedded in our articles.

The new forums will be devoid of any previous posts and will be a completely fresh start. It will also come with a whole host of new features including custom avatars, a boatload of new emoticons, spoiler text hiders, polls, multiple sharing options, staff trackers, as well as improved integration with other external sites such as Twitch and YouTube. It will also have a dedicated section where content creators will be able to post and plug their works.

Standing Stone warns players to expect the first few days following the opening of the new forums to be quite busy as players log-in for the first time, choose their names, customize their avatars, and create their own unique signatures.

More information can be found on the soon to be deprecated Lord of the Rings Online official forums. The same post can also be found on the Dungeons and Dragons Online forums.
