Wakfu Revamps Its Dungeons To Make Them Shorter While Still Being Challenging
Wakfu has made significant changes to its dungeons with the release of Update 1.76 earlier this week. Most of the turn-based MMORPG’s dungeons have been revamped to make them shorter and now come in more varieties, namely: two-room, three-room, four-room, three-player, and Ultimate Boss.
The new three-room dungeons are the easiest to complete and will play just like the normal four-room varieties but with reduced bonuses to Wisdom and Prospecting. Two-room dungeons, on the other hand, will have a boss mechanic as early as the first room, making them harder to complete than three-room dungeons.
In contrast, three-player and Ultimate Boss dungeons will only have one room and can only be played at adjusted levels. Players will also need to have an appropriate level incantation to start the boss fight in the case of three-player dungeons and a key to enter the lair in Ultimate Boss dungeons. These keys can be crafted from key fragments dropped by bosses in regular dungeons.
“Certain Bosses, and Ultimate Bosses in particular, have had some changes to their mechanics, but we'll let you discover those in-game for yourself…,” revealed the developers.
“This update to the dungeon system allows us to vary the content available in the game,” they added. “This will make it less necessary to spend lots of time playing dungeons, which distinguishes this type of content from the Dimensional Rifts which are intended to be longer. The various PvE activities thus form a coherent whole in which each part has a newly strengthened identity to meet the needs of multiple player profiles.”
Details on the new dungeon changes can be found on the Wakfu official site.
