Nexon is a worldwide leader in free-to-play online games. Originally founded in Korea in 1994, they began setting a new standard for free to play games coupled with a micro-transaction system in which s can buy in-game cosmetics or equipment to use. They've serviced many games that have come and gone, but currently serve over 20+ games across the globe.

Nexon Co LTD was founded in December, 1994 by Kim Jung Ju and Jake Song in South Korea. The company currently has its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, with major offices in the U.S., Luxembourg, and South Korea. Nexon typically self-publishes their their own in-house developed titles. They were one of the first companies to bring free to play MMOs and NCSoft and attempted a hostile takeover, but they were thwarted and ended up selling their stake in NCSoft in 2015, giving up on takeover. Nexon also owns Boss Key Productions, which they acquired in Mid 2014.
