Arena of Fate is an free to play MOBA that features a unique cast of characters from popular fantasy as well as history. Play as historical characters such as Tesla, Joan of Arc or ones from Fantasy like Little Red Riding Hood and Robin Hood in traditional 5v5 gameplay.

Arena of Fate Overview
Arena of Fate is a Crytek's entrance into the popular MOBA genre. In Arena of Fate players take on the role of a popular character from either history or fantasy and battle others in traditional 5v5 MOBA gameplay. The twist here is that matches have a hard time limit, guaranteeing matches last no longer than 20 minutes. This ensures games don't drag on and players are pushed to fight for objectives rather than simply playing for the late-game. Arena of Fate has 7 roles for players to chose from as well as numerous different ways to "build" a hero. The game has 3 ways to win a match, Outscore, Overwhelm or Outlast.
Arena of Fate Key Features:
- Traditional MOBA Gameplay - Face off against opponents in 5v5 MOBA style gameplay.
Unique Progression - Players can use gold to obtain new traits and customize their hero's growth. - Timed Limited Matches - Matches will last a maximum of 20 minutes, guaranteeing fast paced action filled matches.
- Mix History and Fantasy - Arena of Fate features a unique roster of characters from both history and fantasy! Frankenstein and Sherlock can be on the same team!
- 3 Win Conditions - Outscore (First team to 10 points wins. Points earned via objectives/kills), Overwhelm (Destroy the enemy base), and Outlast (Most points at the end of the 20 min time limit).

Development History / Background:
Arena of Fate was developed by Crytek's Hungarian division, Crytek Black Sea, using CryEngine 3, the studio's primary game engine. Arena of Fate is Crytek's entry into the rapidly growing MOBA market that games like DotA 2 popularized. The game was first announced in May, 2014 for both PC and Consoles. The game was first seen playable at E3 2014 and is expected to launch later in 2015. On March 07, 2017 it was announced that Crytek Black Sea would be sold to Sega. Arena of Fate was canceled as part of that announcement.
