TASTEE: Lethal Tactics Overview
TASTEE: Lethal Tactics is a turn-based strategy game developed and published by SkyBox Labs. Similar to Frozen Synapse, players in TASTEE plan out the actions of each member of a squad (up to six units) in stopped time. Time moves forward when all actions have been submitted for the turn, and the planned actions unfurl for both sides simultaneously. Thus, players must devise a plan for each turn, keeping in mind what the opponent may or may not do. TASTEE offers a variety of recruitable units for squads, each with their own special ability. Other features include 9+ maps with different tactical layouts, 30 PvE missions, and various PvP options.
TASTEE: Lethal Tactics Key Features:
- Deep Strategical Roots – much like chess, players must anticipate the actions of their opponent in order to dominate this strategical game.
- Variety of Units – there are a variety of units, called mercenaries, with their own special abilities that players can mix and match to build a squad to meet their needs for each map.
- Multiple Maps – there are over nine maps with randomized elements and different layouts that add to the complexity of the game.
- PvE and PvP – TASTEE features 30 PvE missions and varied PvP modes. Players can choose to play asynchronous matches, where each side can take as long as they want to plan out their turns, or Cage Matches with limited time for each turn.
- Unique Turn-Based Gameplay – TASTEE has players plan out every action for one turn, but the actions do not happen until the plan has been submitted. Then, that one turn plays out all at once for both sides.

Development History / Background:
TASTEE: Lethal Tactics is a turn-based strategy game developed and published by SkyBox Labs, a gaming company known for developing Age of Empires II. The game was nicknamed TASTEE early in development, and despite efforts to change the name to a more serious and not-so-cute title, the dev team decided to stick with TASTEE: Legal Tactics because the name had influenced development so much. It was released as an early access title in May, 2015 through Valve's Steam service. One year later, the game saw a full release on May 20, 2016.
