Fractured Online’s Tutorial Island Accidentally Went Live On The Beta Server
As far as update mistakes go, Dynamight Studios’ was a good one after the developer accidentally patched in its in-development tutorial island on the Fractured Online beta build.
“In a moment of rare cleverness, we’ve accidentally released the build of the Tutorial Island on Terra,” the indie developer explained. “Say hi to the Terrorial Island!” The preview was short-lived though as the team promptly removed the island from the build.
The tutorial island was inadvertently released as part of an update that made it easier to sieges and create cities and added the ability to imbue gear and gems with bonuses to ability schools.
“Please note that imbued proficiencies stack with orbs, but they can’t get you past the maximum proficiency allowed by your Rank. For instance, let’s say your rank is 26, which means your maximum proficiency in any school is 4. You have used 2 Orbs of Geomancy, and you have +3 Geomancy Proficiency on your gloves. Your final proficiency in Geomancy is 4,” the studio explained.
Meanwhile, the final beta test before Fractured Online’s early access relaunch is still underway and will run until October 15th. If you’re planning to jump in before the playtest ends, now would probably be a good time to do so. To get access to the beta teste, all you have to do is purchase a founder pack, all of which are currently being offered at a discount, starting at $16 for the base tier.
