The Dawning Returns To Destiny 2 With A New Weapon And Memento Up For Grabs

Christmas has come to Destiny 2 as the free-to-play MMO shooter brings back The Dawning for its yearly holiday run. The event is now live and will run until January 2nd, with Eva Levante returning to her usual cozy spot in the Tower to hand out event quests that reward ingredients and Dawning Essence required to bake yummy treats and cookies.

Players can earn Dawning Spirit by delivering the baked treats to NPCs across the game world, completing Event Card Challenges, and participating in certain activities while the Boon of Friendship buff is active. Dawning Spirits can then be used to purchase other event-exclusive buffs that grant various event perks, including bonus rewards, a chance to obtain enhanced Dawning Weapons, targeted weapon drops, and more.

This year’s event will also feature the new Albedo Wing glaive-type Dawning Weapon and the new Dawning Memento. The Dawning beanie physical merch will also available for purchase on the Bungie Store for those who complete the Amateur Baker Event Challenge between now and June 3, 2024.
