Genshin Impact’s Version 2.7 Update Has Been Delayed Indefinitely
This article has been updated for accuracy. HoYoverse, previously miHoYo, has been nothing but consistent when it comes to delivering updates to their popular mobile RPG, Genshin Impact. That being said, nobody’s perfect and they’re bound to slip at some point, and that point is now.
The Shanghai-based studio has announced that they will be delaying Version 2.7 indefinitely due to “project progress”, which probably isn’t helped by the COVID-19 lockdowns in their home city. The studio promises compensation and details on the new update, as well as any content adjustments that they’ll be making, soon.
In the meantime, you’ll still have Version 2.6 and its new Chasm zone to explore and the returning Kamisato Ayaka 5-Star Cryo Swordsman to unlock if you haven’t done so already. Stay tuned for more updates.
Dear Travelers,
Due to project progress, the Version 2.7 update will be postponed.
For detailed information on the date of the new update, content adjustment plan, and compensation, please stay tuned for announcements.#GenshinImpact pic.twitter.com/FiiGQyJO1G— Genshin Impact (@GenshinImpact) April 29, 2022
