Life Is Feudal: MMO’s Chinese Version Will Be Sunsetting In October
The Chinese version of Life Is Feudal: MMO, the last remaining version of the MMO side of the hardcore medieval sandbox game, will be closing its doors in three months’ time. Tiancity, the game’s regional publisher, will officially be shutting down the servers on October 26th and have disabled new s and currency purchases as of yesterday.
Players with remaining cash shop currency will still be able to use them right up until the servers go dark. All unused currency after then will automatically be converted to Tiancity Points of the same value which can presumably be used in the publisher’s other games.
Life is Feudal: MMO’s western version was shut down in January 2021 and publishing responsibilities for the Chinese version were transferred by Bitbox to Tiancity later that year. Some western players, however, weren’t ready to let go at the time and were willing to jump through hoops to continue playing the game from servers located on the other side of the globe. Unfortunately, those servers will soon be shutting down as well.
