PlanetSide 2 Tests New Perk Implants And Rolls Out PC Quality-Of-Life Improvements

PlanetSide 2 reopened its public test server this week to give players a chance to test out seven new implants. These new implants will allow players to equip new perks to further customize their chosen classes.

Some of the implants seem useful enough, particularly the Take a Walk implant that allows you to walk at normal speed when underwater. There’s also the Living on the Edge implant that significantly improves the accuracy of all weapons when your health drops past a certain threshold and the Karma implant that allows medics to revive themselves once each time they respawn.

A release date for the new implants has yet to be announced, but some of the changes that were rolled out on the PTS are now live on the PC version. These include toggleable HUD indicators and nameplates and fixes for a bunch of broken stuff, including loyalty gain notifications, a weapon reload animation, and XP earnings from certain resources, among others.
