RuneScape Balance Aims To Bring Other Combat Styles Up To Par With Necromancy
Now that Jagex has now shifted its focus to fine-tuning high-level skills across the board and incorporating some of the new Necromancy skills and abilities to melee, ranged, and magic combat styles.
“Since its release, Necromancy has proved to be an extremely adaptable and versatile skill. Now, though, there are some concerns that it's a bit too ahead of the other skills for the overall balance of the game,” Jagex explained.
The studio already rolled out a preliminary combat balance patch on the live servers yesterday to reduce the power gap between Necromancy and the other three combat styles. More changes and adjustments are promised over the next few weeks.
The developers will also be powering up the test server on October 30th for a new combat beta test that will give players a chance to try out the new Necromancy-inspired abilities and other major combat changes.
The latest patch notes are tucked into this new dev blog if you want to dive into the details.
