Pirates Treasure Hunters Overview
From scallywags to scurvey dogs, players can choose from over sixteen different pirates to wreak havoc with in 6v6 MOBA matches. Pirates, called Hunters, hail from different backgrounds (soldiers, inventors, mages, chieftains) and each have a unique weapon and ability set. Players work together in battle to achieve different victory conditions in various game modes, such as Treasure Hunt and Team Deathmatch. Cooperatively steer and fire vehicles armed with weapons to master land and sea terrain. Cosmetics, EXP boosts, and in-game currency boosts can be purchased with real world cash. Amulets, which give stat boosts, must be bought with credit that can only be earned by playing games. Piratres Treasure Hunters shut down for good and the company behind it, Virtual Toys, went bankrupt in September, 2016.

Pirates Treasure Hunters is a free-to-play MOBA developed by Virtual Toys, a Spain-based gaming company. The game is published by Netmarble (formerly known as CJ E&M) in South Korea and through Valve's Steam service in the US and UK. Development for this pirates MOBA began back in 2013, with beta testing in only South Korea. Pirates Treasure Hunters hit early access release in July 2016 in the US and UK. The company behind the game went bankrupt and the game shut down in September, 2016.
