Fantasy Tales Online is a free to play 2D Fantasy MMORPG with retro graphics that sort of resemble Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds. The game is available on Steam and is developed by Cold Tea Studios. Despite its indie nature and retro look, it's a fully functional persistent world MMORPG. One of the biggest drawbacks though is its fairly low playerbase. Visually, it also looks like old SNES RPGs.
