Apex Legends Kicks Off Season 14 And Adds A New Sniper Legend On August 9
A new Legend will soon be hunting players down in Apex Legends when the Hunted update makes landfall in EA’s popular battle royale shooter next week. Meet Mara Contreras, a.k.a. Vantage, a survivalist and gifted sniper who’s been shooting since she was a baby, or so she says.
“Xiomara “Mara” Contreras was born and raised alone on the wild ice planet Págos by her survivalist mother, Xenia,” reads her backstory. “Mara proved gifted with a sniper rifle from the moment she was big enough to look through the scope and reach the trigger at the same time. The tight-lipped Xenia could only get her chatty daughter to stop asking questions by giving her a scavenged copy of Encyclopedia Outlandica, which Mara memorized front to back.”
The update will also kick off Season 14 which will come with a level cap increase, a new battle , and the revamped King’s Canyon map. “Time changes everything, and Kings Canyon is no exception,” said the devs. “What was once Skull Town has risen from the ashes as Relic, and popular ambush locations have been terraformed to create new challenges. All of this has been done with a single goal: to make the Games here as thrilling as can be.”
Season 14 and the Hunted update arrives on Steam, Origin, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on August 19th. In the meantime, you can check out the official Hunted launch trailer below.
