Destiny 2 Reveals New Dungeon And Raid Rotator System Coming In Season 17

Bungie is looking to breathe new life into Destiny 2’s dungeon and raid routine by bringing them in and out of rotation for a certain period of time starting in Season 17.

Dungeons and raids will be broken up into weekly and seasonal categories with newer content remaining in place for an entire season and older ones rotating on a weekly basis. The new rotator system will allow and encourage players to revisit old content and freshen up the weekly dungeon and raid experience.

“This is designed to make raid and dungeon content a bit more enticing over the course of a Season, while also providing more ways to play when jumping into different activities with friends and clanmates.”

The team will also be removing lockouts on all Legendary gear rewards for encounters which will allow players to farm Legendaries to their heart’s content. “Or don’t, the choice is yours (which is the point!),” said the team.

The team also teased next week’s update which will come with the Master difficulty for the Vow of the Disciple raid along with fixes and adjustments for Trials of Osiris, Altar of Reflection, and the Normal version of Vow of the Disciple. The update will also fix stability issues and Xur’s “wonky” wares stats and will resume the rotation of Rahool’s Destination Materials on reset.
