Launch day for Tom Clancy's The Division, Ubisoft's pseudo-MMO shooter/RPG hybrid, has officially launched. Those who have bought the game can now jump into an alternate reality version of New York in which a "a lethal virus" has left the city in ruins. Players will have to work together to eliminate the threat and "take back New York."

The game is available now on the Steam store, the PlayStation Store, the uPlay Shop, and Xbox Live for $59.99. The Season can be purchased for an additional $39.99.

Alongside the release, it was announced that Ubisoft had partnered with Monorex, the company that was responsible for the game's in-game graffiti, to create a real-world graffiti mural themed after the game on London's Shoreditch Art Wall. The process took five days, after which the result remained for mere hours before being removed. You can view the creation of the graffiti mural and the finished work of art in the video below.
